  • Spend the day at West Edmonton Mall: Waterpark, Galaxyland, Racetrack & so much more
  • Take a drive & go tubing down a lazy river
  • Check out K-Days, coming to the Edmonton Expo Centre – July 21 to July 30, 2023
  • Plan a day at Fort Edmonton Park – now open with an awesome new carnival section!
  • Visit Jurassic Forest – over 50 anamatronic exhibits including life-size dinosaurs
  • Take a day trip – check out these great family day trip ideas less than 2 hours from Edmonton
  • Go horseback riding – we suggest ‘Leaning Trails’ near Jarvis, AB or ‘Thunder Ridge’ in Devon
  • Day at Telus World of Science – visit the feature exhibit, Zeidler dome, watch a movie in the IMAX, play in Curious City & more
  • Visit splash parks – they’re completely free and a great way to beat the heat
  • Muttart Conservatory
  • Visit the Alberta Art Gallery downtown
  • A day at the Legislature – take a guided tour, enjoy the beautiful grounds or splash in the fountains, running all Summer long!

  • Day at the Royal Alberta Museum (be sure to check out the children’s gallery!)
  • Visit a U-Pick Farm
  • Day trip to the Calgary Stampede (July 7-July 16, 2023)
  • Watch a movie – don’t forget, Sundays are cheap day for kids at Landmark theatres
  • Check out the Alberta Aviation Museum
  • Visit a Farmer’s Market
  • Go to the lake – Wabamun & Sylvan Lake are great day-trip choices
  • Visit the Strathcona Wilderness Centre
  • Heritage Days (August 5-7, 2023)

  • Visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo
