Have you heard?? The City of Edmonton just announced opening dates for its outdoor pools for the season, and kids 12 and under get in for free all Summer!
Good to know:
- Kids aged 12 and under are FREE all Summer at City of Edmonton Outdoor Pools!
- Outdoor pools are only open when the weather is over 18 degrees and are closed on rainy days
- It is suggested to reserve your swim time for the City of Edmonton ahead of time, as far as 7 days in advance, online here.
- The St. Albert, Stony Plain and Leduc outdoor pools do not require booking a time slot beforehand and are not part of the free admission for kids initiative – cost listed below.

Fred Broadstock Outdoor Pool

- Pool includes a zero-depth entry into the kids pool
- 1 m & 3 m diving boards

Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool & Kinsmen Spray Park
- Location: 9170 Walterdale Hill, Edmonton
- Opening date: May 30, 2023

- 1 m & 3 m diving boards
- Universal access/family change room
- Showers and lockers right on the pool deck
- First aid room

The Kinsmen Park on the same site, making this a great location to spend the whole day with the kids. Sports centre, spray park, pitch & putt, sports field, playground, picnic sites, trails and the John Walter Museum can all be found here.
Oliver Outdoor Pool
- Location: 10315-119 Street, Edmonton
- Opening date: June 3, 2023

Borden Natural Swimming Pool
- Location: 7615 Borden Park Road, Edmonton
- Opening date: June 10, 2023

- All-natural outdoor pool concept; alternative to chemically-treated pools
- Family pool in Borden Park
- Surrounded by sand
- Plenty of lounge space with umbrellas

Grosvenor Outdoor Pool
- Location: 1 Grenfell Ave, St. Albert
- Opening date: May 27, 2023

Alexandra Outdoor Pool
- Location: Alexandra Park, Leduc (just off of 50th street)
- Opening date: May 20, 2023

- Main Pool: 25 m with depth of 1.5 m | 5 lanes
- Dive Tank: 10.5 m x 9 m with depth of 3.5 m
- Diving Board: 1 m
- Water slide
- 3 Change Rooms
- Pool runs on a schedule for use – check their website for public swim times
- Located next to a spray park
- Chlorine pool that maintains a 28-30 degree temperature for a comfortable swimming temperature
Stony Plain admission: Kids 6 & under, free; kids 7-12, $4.75; Students 13-17 & seniors, $5.25; adults, $6.50; family, $18. Multi swim passes & season passes also available for purchase.
Stony Plain Outdoor Pool

- Opening date: May 19, 2023

- They are thrilled to be open this year
Mill Creek Outdoor Pool in Edmonton will remain closed for 2023 due to ongoing rehabilitation.
