There is a massive new Park in Edmonton’s Northeast along the North Saskatchewan River, and it opens to the public Summer, 2023! The Northeast River Valley Park is a whopping 190 acres.
What to Expect to See
- Covered barn bridges
- A lake available for non-motorized boating activities
- Children’s playground
- A large destination events centre available for a variety of bookings including conferences, retreats and weddings
- Internal walking trail and connections to the River Valley trail network
Where: Along the Northeast portion of Edmonton’s North Saskatchewan River (17 Street NE and 153 avenue NE), previously known as “Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch”
Note that the park is still currently closed to the public as the City of Edmonton makes safety and amenity improvements.
