Where to Find Free Learn to Skate Programs For Kids in Edmonton, 2020

Free Learn to Skate programs are back in Edmonton! Kids and their families will play games to enhance speed, agility and control on the ice. The programs run 7 days a week at various locations across Edmonton. They are geared toward kids aged 6-12, but everyone is welcome to join.

Program dates: January 6, 2020 to February 16, 2020

When & Where:

Monday:

  • Montrose: 5920-119 Avenue – 4 pm to 7 pm
  • Crestwood: 14325-96 Avenue – 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
  • Forest Heights: 10150-80 Street – 5 pm to 8 pm
  • Grandview Heights: 6225-127 Street – 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Tuesday:

Good to know:

  • You need to bring your own skates and CSA approved helmet
  • Programs will not run in temperatures go below -23 degrees Celsius with the wind-chill, or if the ice is closed by the facility
  • Gloves, scarves extra layers are always a good idea!

    1. Yes you just show up with your skates and helmet. Watch the weather to confirm programs are still running (more detailed info is on the blog) and you can always call the City of Edmonton at 311 with specific questions 🙂
