The Alpine Club of Canada Edmonton Section welcomes you and your family to the 2024 UIAA Ice Climbing World Championship and YEG Ice Fest. This is a four day outdoor, all ages event.
When: February 16 – 19, 2024

Cost: General Admission ticket are $24.70 (Kids 12 and under are FREE with a paid standard ticket)
Day 1 – Opening Ceremonies & VIP Event
When: Friday, February 16, 2024; 6PM – 10PM
Where: Ford Hall; Rogers Place – 2nd Floor, 10220 104 Avenue NW
Day 1 is for Athletes, Officials, VIP Ticket Holders and Invited Guests
What: This event will feature snacks, drinks, music and a program to welcome the athletes, officials and coaches

Day 2 – UIAA Ice Climbing World Championships – Day 1 of Competition
When: Saturday, February 17, 2024; 9AM – 10:30PM
Where: Fan Park at Ice District; 10104 104 Avenue NW
Day 2 is for all ticket holders
What: Watch the climbers compete in lead ice climbing and speed ice climber qualifiers. Activities throughout the day will include vendors and exhibits in the winter market, skating, playing in the kids zone, live performances. Warm up by the toasty wood burning fire

Day 3 – UIAA Ice Climbing World Championships – Day 2 of Competition
When: Sunday, February 18, 2024; 9AM – 10:30PM
Where: Fan Park at Ice District; 10104 104 Avenue NW
Day 3 is for all ticket holders
What: Watch the climbers compete in lead ice semi finals and finals. Activities throughout the day are the same as day one and will include vendors and exhibits in the winter market, skating, playing in the kids zone, live performances. Warm up by the toasty wood burning fire

Day 4 – Climbing Clinics & Open Community Competition Day
When: Monday, February 19, 2024; 8AM – 5PM
Where: Fan Park at Ice District; 10104 104 Avenue NW
Pre-registration for climbing clinics and competition is required. Register to watch the MEC Community Competition
What: There will be clinics for all skill levels, from those who have never tried climbing to experienced climbers
