Layered Jello Squares

These layered Jello squares are such a hit for parties, family functions and get togethers. They are really pretty if you use a different color for each layer. Please note that the entire process takes around 4.5 hours.

Ingredients:

5 boxes of Jello (85g) – Can be any flavors you’d like
8 packages of Knox Gelatin
1 can of condensed milk

Directions:

1. Mix 1 package of gelatin with 1/4 cup of cold water and stir until dissolved
2. Mix 1 package of Jello with 1 cup of boiling water
3. Add the gelatin mixture to the Jello and let stand for 15 minutes
4. Grease a 9×13 pan with cooking spray
5. Pour your first layer into your pan and place in the fridge for 30 minutes
6. Dissolve 3 packages of gelatin in 3/4 cups of cold water
7. In a separate bowl, mix the can of condensed milk and 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Add to the gelatin mixture in step 6. This mixture needs to be kept warm so it doesn’t solidify throughout the process. Put some hot water in the sink and place the bowl in the hot water. Change the water as often as needed to keep it hot.
8. Scoop 3/4 cup of this mixture over the first layer of Jello. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes
9. Alternate Jello and condensed milk mixture until your final layer on top is Jello

This recipe yields 24 Jello squares
Store in an airtight container in the fridge. They keep for a week (if they last that long!)
For a lighter dessert, you can use sugar free Jello
