Telus world of Science, located at: 11211-142 Street in Edmonton, opened the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit today, and it is really something to see. The dinosaurs are life sized, and some are animatronic with sensors, so they react when someone walks by with realistic sounds and movements of actual dinosaurs.

The exhibit is not only eye catching and exciting, but very educational for people of all ages, as the science behind dinosaurs is very rich, and our province holds more history than most people know. They have interactive stations where you can learn all about different dinosaurs, including the sounds they made! They also have an excavation site, so you can experience the paleontology life; and have fossils on display, including some found right here in Alberta!

Expect new programs to be announced soon, including a sleepover-with-the-dinosaurs program, where people can spend the night at the centre, and a velociraptor safety week theme, so you know exactly what to do if you ever run into one! You never know… you could even use what you learn if you are ever face to face with another predatory dinosaur as well, haha. So much fun in the making! Definitely on our Summer to do list!

The Telus World of Science Website has this to say about the exhibit:

"Unearth newly revealed secrets 65-million years in the making

Inside Dinosaurs Unearthed: Down to the Bone, embark on a prehistoric journey about what life was like on Earth in the time of the dinosaurs…

This exhibition invites you to challenge what you think you know about dinosaurs and explore spectacular prehistoric scenes, life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, full-scale skeletons, intriguing fossils, engaging content, and interactive activities.

The most well-known dinosaur of our time is explored in-depth:

Most commonly known for being a ferocious, bone-crushing killer, what many people do not know about the Tyrannosaurus Rex is that they were not always the biggest predators to roam the Earth... "

Keep up to date on the latest developments of the exhibit on the Telus World of Science website, HERE.
