This is not a drill. The Government of Alberta is offering three one-million lottery-style winnings (among other prizes) to anyone who gets their first Covid-19 vaccine before Alberta reaches the 70% threshold. Anyone entering the draws must be over 18 years old and a resident of Alberta.
First $1 Million draw:
The draw will be done on the first day of Stage 3 in Alberta
To be entered to win:
- You need to have your first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine before phase 3 in Alberta begins
Stage 3 in Alberta will start 2 weeks after the threshold of 70% of Albertans aged 12+ have their first vaccination.
Second $1 Million draw:
The draw will be done at the end of August.
To be eligible for this draw:
- Must be fully vaccinated with both Covid-19 doses
Third $1 Million draw:
This final million-dollar draw will be done sometime closer to the end of September.
To be eligible for this draw, Albertans need to:
- Fully vaccinated with both Covid-19 doses
Anyone entering the second or third draw must be able to provide proof that they have had both doses of the vaccine. More fun prizes are to be announced in the coming days.
