The Silver Skate festival is back for over a week of free outdoor family activities, and the forecast couldn’t be more cooperative! Head down to Hawrelak Park with the kids for a day of fun.

- Free family skating! *bring your own skates & helmets or rent skates for $10/pair
- Snow build zone – snow blocks provided

Tips:
- Plan your trip before you go – Certain events run at specific times – see the full schedule here.
- Dress the kids in snow pants and other winter gear for maximum outdoor fun!
- If you are planning to skate, bring your own if you have them at home. Skate rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis for $10/pair for an hour
- Bring a sled – it’s great for hauling items and younger kids through the snow paths
- Come early, or consider public transit; as parking fills up fast (there is a FREE Park n’ Ride service on weekends)
