The annual Silver Skate Festival is back at Hawrelak Park in Edmonton and you’re going to want to head down there with the kids for some free family fun.

Tips:
- Plan your trip before you go – Certain events run at specific times – see the full schedule here.
- Dress the kids in snowpants and other winter gear for maximum outdoor fun!
- If you are planning to skate, bring your own if you have them at home. Skate rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis for $10/pair for an hour
- Bring a sled – it’s great for hauling items and younger kids through the snow paths
- Consider taking the shuttle to/from the U of A, as parking fills up fast
