Edmonton’s Best Christmas Light Displays for 2018

There’s still time to take in the lovely Christmas light displays and events going on in and around Edmonton for the season. Here is a list with info on the best ones we could find that are great for taking the family to:

Leduc Country Lights

2018 is the final year for the Leduc Country Lights. It runs until December 30, but will be closed on Christmas day. See their website for more detailed information, here.

Edmonton Valley Zoo: Zoominescence

Runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as December 26 & 27. See more detailed information on their website, here.

Candy Cane Lane

Candy Cane Lane is celebrating 50 years of operation this year! Book a sleigh ride, drive, or come for a memorable walk with the family to take in the beautiful Christmas lights displayed by the home owners that live in the area. Runs until January 1, 2019 – Food bank donations are greatly appreciated! More details here.

Castrol Raceway: Magic of Lights

Take a drive down Hiway 2 to Castrol Raceway to ride through a 2km long display of lights. Tune your radio in to listed to Christmas music through the drive. Many gorgeous themes to take in. More details here.

Glow Edmonton

Over a million lights: interactive displays, Glow play park, scavenger hunt for the kids, Santa and more. Plus, its indoors! Definitely something you want to attend with the family this year. Location: The Enjoy Centre in St. Albert. More details here.

Alberta Legislature

Stunning lights are displayed on and all around the Alberta Legislature building. Gorgeous place for a family stroll or skate. More details here.
