Laurier Heights Celebrates 70 Years!

Laurier Heights Community League is turning 70 this weekend and they are not holding back. The celebration runs all three days: an Anniversary Dinner to kick things off Friday, a Party in the Park on Saturday with antique cars, food trucks, and drinks in the sip yard, and a Historical Stroll through the neighbourhood to close out Sunday. One of the most complete community league anniversary events Edmonton has seen. Worth planning your whole weekend around.

Fire Nights at Parkdale Community League Patio

Pull up a chair by the fire on the PCCL patio for their summer fire nights series. A relaxed, come-as-you-are Friday evening with your neighbours. The perfect start to a long weekend.

Pub Night at Capilano Community League

Kick off the Canada Day long weekend with live music from the band Good Company at Capilano Community League. Doors open at 7:30 PM — a proper Friday night out close to home.

Family Movie on the Lawn at Leefield Community League

A free outdoor screening of GOAT on the lawn at Leefield CL — doors open at 8 PM and the movie starts at dusk. If the weather doesn’t cooperate it moves inside, so you’re covered either way. Grab a blanket and make a night of it.

Inaugural Pride Celebration & Dance Party at Beverly Heights

Beverly Heights is hosting its very first Pride celebration — an all-ages dance party open to the whole community. A milestone moment for the neighbourhood and a joyful afternoon for everyone. Come out and celebrate.

Drinks in the Rink with Live Band at Duggan Hall

Live band, food trucks, a beer tent, slushes, and kid games — all on the rink at Duggan Hall. The Duggan and Rideau Park Community Leagues are putting on a proper long weekend evening that works for the whole family. One of the best summer patio vibes in the city right here.

An indoor, kid-friendly night-market atmosphere with over 25 vendors featuring witchy and unique items. If you’re into crystals, handmade goods, and one-of-a-kind finds, The Cauldon Market is your spot. A fun and quirky way to spend a Sunday morning on the long weekend.

Baseball & BBQ at Elmwood Community League

Dig out your baseball glove! Everyone is invited to sign up and join family baseball and a BBQ at Elmwood Community League. No experience necessary — just come out and have fun. A $5 BBQ meal and an afternoon on the diamond is a pretty perfect way to end the long weekend.
