Guys – there is a super cute farm about an hour outside of Edmonton that offers private family farm tours, and you might want to check it out with the kids.
Jon’s Funny Farm is close to Westlock and well worth the drive. The owner/operator personally gives families tours of the farm, educating everyone on the different species of animals, fun and cool facts about them and how to properly handle each one. The best part – the farm functions as a petting zoo! Kids (and the adults too!) can pet and play with goats, chickens, ducks, bunnies, alpacas, donkeys and more. There is even a friendly farm bison!
As with most farms, this one has baby animals too! When we went, we were able to hold baby bunnies and kittens (so adorable!)

Tours are by appointment only. You can message them via Facebook or Instagram to book a day/time.

Cost:
Payments are by donation. Suggested amount is $20/person.
The tour typically takes 2-2.5 hours and is very engaging. The animals are friendly and the experience is enjoyable for kids of all ages and adults.
