Spring Potholes: Report Them to the City of Edmonton Online for a Quick Assessment

Spring has finally arrived – or so we think… And the annual potholes are already starting to show up. Did you know that you can report potholes to the city of Edmonton and they will assess the repair needs of your road as soon as possible? A lot of times they come out to take a look the very next day!

Info you need to report a pothole:

  • The location (road names) or cross roads
  • Contact information for yourself
  • Severity of potholes in your opinion

Potholes can damage your vehicle and drivers tend to swerve to avoid them, prioritizing the avoidance of vehicle damage over the safety of other vehicles in neighbouring lanes or pedestrians/children crossing the road.

How to Report Pot Holes:

If the City don’t know about them, they can’t fix them!

  • You can fill out the form online HERE
  • Or download the 311 app

On the App:

  1. Select “New request”
  2. Under “Roads, sidewalks & bike lanes” select “Potholes”
  3. Add a photo, the location and your contact info and click submit

That’s it!

If you’re curious about what causes potholes, this is quick and informative video. It’s all just part of Spring. Stay safe on the roads, and do your neighbours (and yourself) a favor and report road damage in your area when you see it. Happy Spring, everyone!
