What you need to know:
- The Magic of Lights is now open every night until January 5, 2019 from 5PM to 10PM
- Recommended driving speed is 5km/hour (It will take about 20-25 minutes to drive through the entire display)
- Cost: $25 per vehicle
- You can purchase a DASH pass for an extra $20, which allows you to skip the line!
- For safety reasons, do not go faster that 10km/hour – no passing, no stopping, no getting out of the vehicle is allowed.
NEW THIS YEAR:
Horse Power Hay Rides: not real horses, but real hay. Trailtech trailers are pulled by Driving Force pick up trucks so you can enjoy the full experience without having to drive yourself. Blankets are provided on the hay ride, as well as Christmas music! Cost is $20 per person and is available for all ages. This option is available on select dates, Friday through Sunday at scheduled times, and is subject to cancellation if the weather turns Alberta on us.
Tips:
- Recommended driving speed is 5km/hour (It will take about 20-25 minutes to drive through the entire display)
- Tune your radio to 88.7FM to listen to Christmas music provided by 92.5 Chuck FM
- Dim your headlights as much as possible: the darker it is, the more dynamic the displays look
- If you are driving through, bring your own hot chocolate or coffee, and a couple of yummy snacks!
- If you are choosing the Horse Power Hay Ride option, dress super warm! There are blankets but you’re going to be on that truck for at least 20 minutes, so layer up.
- Travel with a passenger who can take photos for you – as drivers aren’t allowed to stop!
- Check the @CastrolRaceway Twitter or Facebook accounts for up to date info on wait times – there will be posts if wait times exceed 40 minutes.
