Be Italian for the day at the VIVE Italian Festival! Featuring live music, cooking demonstrations, a car show, soccer, bocce tournaments the Kiddie Corner. It’s a free community event, and there will be plenty of food to buy and try. Stick around for the fireworks display at the end of the night!

COPA For Kids Edmonton

COPA for Kids 2018:

Have a child who loves to fly, or dreams of being a pilot one day? The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association offers a one-day chance to get in a plane with local pilots, and it’s all completely FREE!

Simply register your 8 to 17 year old for COPA for Kids 2018 then head to the Villenueve Airport on Saturday, August 25, 2018 between 9 am and 5 pm.

Kids will get a ground school lesson, certification of completion, log book and flight tour. Even lunch is included! This program is FREE, but registration is capped at 250 kids, so please register online in advance.

The COPA for Kids aviation program is designed to provide a motivational aviation experience, including a demonstration flight in an airplane. To date, COPA for Kids has introduced over 23,000 young Canadians to the world of general aviation.

Lemonade Stand Day:

Lemonade Stand Day is back for its 5th year in Edmonton. On Sunday, August 26, 2018, Edmonton and area kids will set up more than 400 lemonade stands all over our region. Money raised will go to help the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation with renovations to the Beach area in the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Over the past 4 years, Lemonade Stand Day has raised more than $215,000 for local charities.

Simply Supper provided lemonade stand kids to groups that pre-registered their teams.
