One of the most iconic Alberta summer evenings — and it’s completely free. Jaws at the Lake returns to Sylvan Lake for 2026 as a double feature: the family-friendly Shark Tale kicks off at 6:30 PM, then Jaws takes over as the sun goes down at 9 PM with the famous soundtrack echoing across the water. Watch from the beach on a blanket or lawn chair, or float on the lake itself during the film — the dual-sided screen is visible from the water. Live music, lawn games, a bucking shark attraction, and food trucks run from 5 PM. Arrive early for the best beach spots.
