African Penguin Play & Learn
Each month features a fun, interactive program at Marine Life! Meet and touch one of our animals, and learn all about them through activities, crafts, and stories.
Touching of the animal is subject to trainer discretion.
The program requires a minimum of 10 people to run. Participants will be contacted and issued a credit for an upcoming program if the minimum is not met.
The program maximum is 30 people, including babies.

Cost: One parent and one child (ages 2-5) can participate together for just $20! A younger sibling may tag along for an additional $8. Maximum 2 children per adult

Outdoor Risky Play
Join every Thursday morning at the Rundle Family Centre in Rundle Park for a fun-filled adventure in nature’s playground! It’s the perfect opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy the fresh air, and build confidence while discovering new activities. Bring little adventurers, from those who are walking up to four years old, for an exciting morning of play, exploration, and learning. Whether it’s climbing, running, or just enjoying the sights and sounds of the park, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And remember, the weather can change, so be sure to dress for the day’s conditions—nature’s waiting to be explored, rain or shine!
When: Thursday Mornings 9:30am-10:30am, next class April 10, 2025

Swimming & Crafts at City of Edmonton Pools
The pool offers a fun swim experience for all ages, with additional features such as waves, diving boards, water slides, a lazy river, climbing walls, and tot pools.
Before entering deep water, individuals must demonstrate the ability to swim 25 metres on their front without stopping. Youth under 13 years old are required to show this skill, and those 13 or older may be asked to do so as well. If a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) is used for this demonstration, it must be worn in deeper water.
For children under 8, a responsible person aged 15 or older must actively supervise no more than three children at a time, both in the pool and throughout the aquatic facility. Children under 8 must remain within arm’s reach at all times.

Esports
Throughout the event, free play will be available, with tournaments beginning for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Each tournament will feature a series of rounds, where four players compete in a free-for-all format. The top two players from each round will move on to the next stage, continuing until only four finalists remain. These finalists will receive guaranteed prizes based on their final rankings.
Controllers will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own as long as it is compatible with the Nintendo Switch console.
Game Information
The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) is responsible for assigning age and content ratings to video games in the United States and Canada. To ensure the games are suitable for all participants, here are the ratings for the games being played:
– Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Rated for everyone aged 10 and older.
– Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Rated for everyone.
