Winter Wagon rides at Fort Edmonton Park

Discover the magic of winter in Edmonton’s scenic River Valley. Admire twinkling lights strung up around Fort Edmonton Park’s historic streets, while bundled up in a festive horse-drawn wagon ride throughout the entire park. Enjoy a cozy hot chocolate stop to warm up before you continue your tour. Wrap up your tour with a toasty bonfire. This charming winter adventure is a perfect outdoor activity with loved ones.

Your 1 hour experience will include: Approximately a 30-40 min wagon ride through a festive Fort Edmonton Park, Cozy blankets and hot chocolate to keep you warm on your ride, Lit up wagons for nighttime tours and access to a warm firepit.

**When you arrive** please take the first right turn onto the service road and check in with our guard house attendant, as our Front Entry Plaza is closed for the season. Please Park in Lot J and head to Kelly’s Saloon, hot chocolate will be available inside!

Please Note: There is an immediate cancellation or stop of all wagon rides at -23 Celsius or below (with or without windchill) or if conditions are not suitable (ice etc.).

FAQ

Are tickets available at the gate?

Tickets are not available at the Front Gate as it is closed for the season. They must be pre-purchased online.

Are the train and streetcars running?

No, the streetcar or the train are not running.

Will any buildings be open?

No buildings within Fort Edmonton Park are open to the Public during your experience, excluding your specified hot chocolate pickup location.

 What happens if I am running late?

Wagons leave promptly 10 minutes after the event start time. If you arrive later than that you will miss your wagon/booking. There will be no refunds for being late.

All wagon rides can seat up to 23 adults/youth. Children under 2 who can remain seated on the lap of an adult do not count towards this capacity. Wagons can accommodate up to 10 additional guests who are 2 and under so long as they remain seated on a lap.

Private wagon rides cost $300 + GST. They include all the same experiences as the public wagon rides with the added benefit of choosing your guests! To book a private ride, please email info@fortedmontonpark.ca, where we can try our best to help you.
