New artic wolf habitat Opens to the Public at Edmonton Valley Zoo
Step into the Arctic wilderness and experience a habitat designed to mirror the stunning tundra where Arctic wolves roam. With a mix of native plants, trees, and natural elements like fallen logs and boulders, the space invites exploration and play. Tundra and his pack have plenty of room to roam, with waterfalls, streams, and cozy dens offering both excitement and relaxation. Behind the scenes, there are private areas for the wolves to retreat and receive care when needed, ensuring their well-being while maintaining their natural behaviors. Play rangers
The Play Rangers program leaders are thrilled to invite you on an exciting adventure filled with fun activities such as snowshoeing, snow fort building, hot chocolate, and a cozy warming fire. Play Rangers is designed for both children and families, offering outdoor recreational activities that everyone can enjoy. Children aged 6-12 are welcome to attend independently.

Sledge Hockey Day 2025
Get ready for a day packed with fun, energy, and inclusivity! **Sledge Hockey Day** is the ultimate celebration for all ages and abilities, brought to you by the Robin Hood Association (RHA) – the heart and soul of services for people with developmental disabilities in Strathcona County and Fort Saskatchewan.
This family-friendly event is all about fun and friendship, featuring a non-competitive sledge hockey tournament where RHA teams go head-to-head with corporate and community teams. The best part? These teams sign up through sponsorship, so everyone gets a chance to participate!
But the excitement doesn’t stop there – Millennium Place will be buzzing with over a dozen free activities for all to enjoy! Try your hand at the “Try It!” sledge free-skate, hop on a Zamboni tour, get a fun face-painting, and so much more! It’s the perfect day to make memories with the whole family.
Sledge Hockey Day isn’t just about the game; it’s about breaking down barriers, building connections, and showing how inclusive sports can bring us together. It’s a celebration of the amazing individuals who inspire and strengthen our community, no matter what their abilities are!

Ride an ART bus!

ArtBus is a totally FREE, all-ages event that’ll take you on a whirlwind tour of downtown Edmonton’s coolest galleries and artist-run centres—all aboard special ETS buses. 
Just hop on at any of the Art Stops around the city, and get ready to explore amazing exhibitions, shop for one-of-a-kind art pieces, and dive into hands-on creative activities!
The ArtBus will be cruising between galleries from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., so you can jump on and off at your leisure. With three chartered buses running on a continuous loop, you’ll have plenty of chances to catch a ride and discover something new!
