The Colour Spectrum: An Inclusive Children’s Art Studio

What is The Colour Spectrum?
The Colour Spectrum is an inclusive children’s art studio, promising a safe and diverse space, welcoming children of all walks of life, regardless of age, neurotype or physical limitations. Your child is able to be their authentic self in this judgement free space. Maybe your child requires dim lighting or even little or no music at all. No problem! The staff at The Colour Spectrum will ensure that your visit is completely tailored to the needs of your child. This hidden gem in the community is a must see for all families.

What sets it apart from other indoor spaces for kids?
“Everyone is welcome. Come paint, play and get messy with us. We are all different, not less simply because of our neurotype.” With a strong mission statement, it’s evident that The Colour Spectrum is heavily focused on inclusivity and are proudly neurodiversity friendly. Something unique worth mentioning is that is that the staff is also neurodiverse, which allows for there to be a relatability factor. Not only do you not have to worry about meltdowns and outbursts, but your child can see that meaningful employment is possible in a loving and welcoming work environment. The awesome staff at The Colour Spectrum are willing and ready to support your child in any way possible, making their experience memorable and comfortable.

What does the studio have to offer?
Has your child ever been tempted to write on the walls? Well this is the place to be! At The Colour Spectrum, your child can actually paint the walls! Yes, you read that right! Kids can also enjoy an indoor sandbox, a water room with a water table and a baby washing station. Indulge in discovery and imagination with a variety of sensory bins that change weekly and even unleash some creativity by making some ooey gooey slime. If your child wants to participate in a quieter activity, you can find large blocks, fidget toys, a car mat, knights and dragon toys, bean bag chairs and a crash pad in the mezzanine.

The Colour Spectrum also offers to host your little one’s birthday! Birthday parties can be booked on Saturdays and Sundays for up to 25 guests. Kids can enjoy slime making and a mini balloon drop! You get the entire art studio to yourself for 2.5 hours and have the assistance of staff to help set up and clean up. Inquiries and bookings can be made through the various social platforms or by sending an email to caketherapyyeg@gmail.com
