Every London Drugs location is taking part in the Stocking Stuffers for Seniors program until December 10, 2018. The goal this year is to fill Christmas wish lists for 15,000 low income seniors that may not otherwise receive gifts this year, including those with no family or friends to celebrate the holidays with.
How it works:
- Walk into a London Drugs location and look for the Christmas tree (should be visible from the entrance)
- Grab a tag from the tree, which will have a senior’s wish list on it
- You can purchase the items within London Drugs, or elsewhere – and bring them to Customer Service with the gift tag before December 10.
They also accept home made items, but not food – and all items must be unwrapped at the time of donation. Most of the items on the lists are very basic, and most include simple items like socks, blankets, tea and toiletries. This is a really humbling experience to see the kind of things that are on some people’s wish lists compared to some of ours.
My daughters are the ones that chose their tags and took their time to pick out the best of what they could find from the items on the seniors’ lists – and felt great about it when we left.
Here’s to hoping London Drugs meets their goal this year! Take a look at the video below for what some of the seniors that benefited from this program last year had to say about it:

Merry Christmas 🙂
