The Government of Canada has officially approved a one-time grocery rebate to offset the food inflation cost we have all been seeing for months.
Who Qualifies:
Canadian residents whose household income is $38,000 or less, and individuals who make $32,000 or less.
How much is it?
The one-time rebate will be up to $467 for eligible couples with two children; up to $234 for single Canadian residents without children; and $225 for seniors, on average.
How to Access the rebate:
Recipients will not need to apply for the Grocery Rebate. It will be delivered along with the next GST Credit payment on July 5, 2023. However, you do need to have filed your 2021 taxes to be able to receive the payment.
