The Peppermint Village in Sherwood Park Mall is now open for the season. It is a place set up in the mall that is just for kids. They get to shop for gifts for their loved ones, have them wrapped, and come out with a real surprise and a fun experience. Basically, they go in with money and come out with a wrapped gift or gifts that they choose.
What you need to know:
- Location: 2020 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park
- It is set up near the Indigo entrance of the mall
- Every item inside is $10 each
- They only accept cash for payment
- Expect to wait in line to get in
- The event raises money for A Safe Place: a shelter for abused women and children

Edit: Please note that Peppermint village not only exceeded its goal, but sold out! As such, they are now closed for the season. Watch for them again next year!
We love this set up because it gives the kids the chance to choose gifts they really want to give to the people they love, and keep the surprise genuine, as parents will seriously have no clue what their gift is. The best part about gifts is seeing the person’s face who is opening it – it is so important to let kids see that part of the gift experience in addition to receiving what they love. Plus, someone helps wrap it! One less thing to do. And it’s all for a great cause. Happy shopping, everyone!
Took my girls their Dec.14… closed for the season, exceed their funding goal.. a paper on the door states.
