The Red Bull Soapbox Race is coming to Edmonton in June! Get ready to gear up for one of the most entertaining races that the soapbox world has to offer!

Queen Elizabeth Park Road
What:
Partake in a race of non-motorized soapbox vehicles as you make your way down a 400 meter course of jumps, turns and obstacles. Each team can have up to 5 members and will perform a skit before they take their creation down the course! 60 teams will be selected to participate in the race.
Rules:
– Each soapbox vehicle must have steering and fully functioning brakes
– The soapbox cannot exceed 6 feet in width and 12 feet in length. It must be at least 7 inches from the ground and not exceed 7 feet in height. It must weigh 176 lbs. or less (not including the driver)
– No external energy sources are permitted
– There is no limitations on how creative you can get in terms of design! The crazier and the wilder, the better!
How to Win:
– Teams will be judged on the design and creativity of their soapbox cars, their 30 second pre-race performance and their race time
– Special awards will be given for the fastest speed and People’s Choice
Cost:
There is no fee to register for this event, however, the materials used to make your soapbox is the responsibility of the participants
