Do you have a child who loves aviation? Or perhaps you’re looking to keep your kids busy on those pesky PD days. Look no further! The Alberta Aviation Museum offers PD Day Camps throughout the year! Each camp will give your child the opportunity to explore the museum, sit in the cockpit of an airplane and use their imagination while learning and experiencing all things aviation!
Upcoming Dates:
January 31, 2024 | History Explorers –Â An opportunity for your child to rewind the clock and learn about the history of aviation from right here in our own province. Appropriate for ages 6 to 11 years.
When: 9AM – 4PM
Cost: $60 per child (10% discount with a family membership)
February 29 & March 1, 2024 | Training School – Campers will enjoy 2 fun filled days of learning about the different jobs that aviation has to offer such as military crews and commercial aviation. Children will gain an understanding for the skills required to execute these jobs with precision. Appropriate for ages 6 to 11 years.
When: 9AM – 4PM
Cost: $120 per child (10% discount with a family membership)
March 25 – 28, 2024 | Flight Academy – A mix of activities to be enjoyed all week long! Kids will learn all about history through fun scavenger hunts, try their hand at a flight simulator, use their creative side to design gliders and parachutes and much more. Appropriate for ages 6 to 11 years.
When: 9AM – 4PM (Week long academy)
Cost: $240 per child (10% discount with a family membership)
April 26, 2024 | Science of Flight – For the curious minds who want to understand the science of how airplanes fly and even how to fly them. Embark on fun scavenger hunts to learn the theories of flight, try out the flight simulators and learn some skills in the paper airplane test lab. Appropriate for ages 9 to 12.
When: 9AM – 4PM
Cost: $60 per child (10% discount with a family membership)
