The brand new Premium Outlet Collection shopping centre is set to open on May 2, 2018. It is 4 minutes from the Edmonton International Airport, and is the first of its kind in Edmonton. The fully enclosed mix of up to 100 outlet stores and retailers is not the most exciting part, though.
Shuttles from the airport run back and forth every 30 minutes, so if you are stopping in before your flight, during a delay, or after coming home from a trip, you don’t have to worry about how to get back and forth. Don’t worry if you are driving your vehicle though – with over 2200 parking spaces, I am sure you will find somewhere to park. Being in such close proximity to the airport, it only makes sense that the new shopping centre completely caters to travellers. Along with other unique features, the centre offers luggage storage and coat check, cell phone charging stations, a refresh room (where you can change, wash your face, or even brush your teeth!), boarding pass printing, flight Arrivals/Departure screens, and a direct-to-home delivery service for any items you purchase that you don’t want to take with you on your travels – just have it sent right to your house.
If you are waiting on picking someone up, it is worth it to come a bit early to check this place out – even with the kids. The line up in the food court has a large variety of choices, from fast food to crepes, sushi, pretzels, David’s Tea, and more. It even features a nursing room and universal washroom. The centre has complementary iPad stations, complimentary baby supplies, and several areas where kids can rest or play comfortably.
This is definitely going to be something to see, I know most people will go for the shopping – which includes kids fashion, affordable outlets, and shoe stores galore – but I would be going to sit and relax in one of their comfortable lounges, and eat some of the unique food, while quietly enjoying the free WIFI.
Opening hours are set to be 10am-9pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-6pm on Sundays.
