New Gamerspace at the Edmonton Public Library Milner Location is Now Open – And It’s FREE to Play!

The Milner EPL branch has opened up a one-of-a-kind Gamerspace and anyone can play! It is free to come play, but some activities require you to have a library card.

Where: Second floor of the Stanley A. Milner Library – 7 Sir Winston Chirchill Square, Downtown Edmonton

When:

  • Monday-Friday: 10 am to 8 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm
  • Sunday: 1 pm to 4 pm

In the gaming space, you’ll find:

  • 10 Gaming PC stations – each with 32” curved monitors, height-adjustable gaming desks & comfy gaming chairs.
  • 3 Console stations:
    • 1 Xbox Series X gaming station with a 49” TV
    • 1 Sony PlayStation 5 gaming station with a 49” TV
    • 1 Nintendo Switch gaming station with a massive, 98” TV
  • 3 Retro Arcade Cabinets

Available Games:

PCs will have access to

  • Steam Café
  • EPIC Games
  • League of Legends
  • Fortnite
  • Roblox & more.

Customers will be able to login to their personal, online accounts for select games. More selection will be added regularly.

Console stations will have curated titles from multiple genres, including the latest family, sports and adventure titles.

Games with the Mature (M) rating are not allowed on the consoles within this space.

They will even be hosting in-room game challenges and tournaments.

Good to know: Console stations are available for all, but you need to show your library card to staff to have access to a controller. Book a time slot in the Gamerspace by calling: 780-944-0856 or come in person.
