Amazone Playzone is new to Edmonton, and is the largest indoor playground in Western Canada! It is located in Abbottsfield mall, where there used to be a Safeway. The facility is super clean, and has enough to do to keep the family busy for the entire day.
What You’ll Find:
- Amazing Zone: for kids of all ages. Themed slides and bridges, a volcano to climb, trains, tots area, foam ball launchers, and lots of places to climb and play
- Tots area: smaller slides, padded everything, play and climbing equipment meant for tots
- Arcade Zone: aimed for kids 12 and under, there are multiple games of physical and strategical skill, and of course – a prize counter!
- SKY RIDE: for kids aged 6+ this is SO much fun – each ride will cost you a ticket, with deals on 3 or more tickets for multiple rides
- Adventure Zone: For kids 6 and up, with stuff for the bigger kids including a huge foam pit, ninja obstacle course, wall climbing, battle beams and more
- HUGE cafeteria with a good selection of food, snacks and drinks
- Party rooms!
Tips for bringing the kids:
- Waivers are a must: you can fill one out online at home before you head over to the facility
- Make sure everyone is wearing socks! Socks are a must, and outdoor footwear is not allowed
- Bring a loonie: there are lockers in the front area that are just $1 each. There is also a huge area full of cubicles for shoes/boots at no extra charge
- No outside food or drinks are allowed, but there is a fantastic cafe (with plenty of places to sit) that sells food, drinks and snacks
- Pre-purchase tickets for the Sky Ride and admission to the Adventure Zone when you arrive, so you don’t have to venture back to the front desk mid-play
- Sky Ride and Adventure Zone are for kids ages 6 and up only
- Supervise kids at all times; there are some steeper slides closer to the back area
- Strollers need to be left in the front area, they are not allowed in the play areas – leave them at home or in the car if you can!
- Remove loose jewelry that can snag on play equipment, and glasses unless they are necessary
- Be sure to read the signs and rules for each area: there is a 0 tolerance policy for dangerous or aggressive behavior
