How to Get the Most out of Black Friday. Tips, Links to Deals and More.

Black Friday is hands down the best day for finding deals out of the entire year. I price-compared last year, and Black Friday deals out beat even boxing day sales by far!

What you need to know about Black Friday:

  • Nowhere is going to offer you a rain check on Black Friday prices.
  • The really good deals for the most sought out items will probably sell out – and early.
  • If you are shopping in person, expect to wait in line.
  • Keep in mind: most deals can also be found ONLINE – and this is the quickest way to shop, always.

Black Friday Tips:

  • In person shopping: look for the deals beforehand. Plan which places you are going in a priority sequence. Go early, and expect that some things are going to be sold out in stores if you do not arrive early, or if they are very popular items.
  • Online: save the link the day before. If you add something to your cart, it could be removed when the Black Friday deals become active – and you will have to find it all over again, or worse, risk it being sold out by the time you add it back to the cart!
  • If you are shopping on Amazon, sign up for a FREE 30 day trial of Prime – it will get you 1-2 day shipping and even better deals – and you can cancel when the trial is done if you do not want to keep it going.

Last year, instant pots sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale. So when I say prep ahead of time and prioritize, don’t take that lightly if you are really wanting to get the deals!

I am all for online shopping, and with the Canada Post strike going back and forth, I am all for Amazon purchases right now. They don’t use Canada Post and have guaranteed delivery time frames. With Prime, it is 1-2 days and they even deliver on the weekends. Yes, please! Here are some great deals I found on Amazon – you can browse different categories to get everyone on your list:

Toddlers:

Popular for the little ones are Fisher Price toys – they talk, play music, are colorful and get them to use their imaginations. This Scoop & Learn play set is on my list this year for my toddler.

Kids:

Lego. Lego is crazy expensive. I had no idea until my kids started asking for sets. So if you are buying them anyway – try to catch them on sale. My girls really like the Disney sets.

Tweens:

There is a Fortnite monopoly game out. Family fun, strategy, off the screens, but still a theme they love.

Great for the Kitchen:

The kitchen gadget you didn’t know you wanted. Air fryers are this year’s Instant Pots. A healthy alternative to frying in oil, and delicious & perfectly cooked food. There are also deals on Instant Pots, which are amazing, btw.

Happy shopping, and please comment with great deals you find for Black Friday! Everyone is always looking for great deals this time of year, so feel free to share in the comments!
