Homemade hot chocolate bombs

Simple to put together & so yummy!

What you’ll need:

  • Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs
  • Hot chocolate mix
  • Cocoa (optional)
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Candy canes
  • Milk
  • Any kind of chocolate you can melt (small amount)

How to:

  • Open Kinder eggs, remove toy and scoop in hot chocolate powder & a bit of cocoa into one half of the egg until it is about level
  • Add the mini marshmallows on top
  • Melt a little bit of chocolate (I used a Halloween-size Aero chocolate bar)
  • Dip the inside edges of the empty half of your Kinder chocolate shell into the melted chocolate and put the egg back together with the fillings inside. Allow to set.
  • Heat up your milk until it is hot (but not boiling)
  • Crush your candy canes
  • Fill up your mug about 1/3 of the way with the hot milk
  • Drop in your hot chocolate bomb
  • Slowly pour more hot milk over the chocolate bomb until the cup is as full as you’d like
  • Stir & sprinkle crushed candy canes on top ✨

Tip: Try flavored hot chocolate! The After Eight flavor is my fav 💖 Add an extra scoop of hot chocolate powder after the bomb melts if you like it extra chocolate-y. And there’s always room for more marshmallows!
