Going Back to School Soon, And That Means Packing Lunches Starts Again. My Main Job? To Get The Good Stuff They Will Actually Eat.

Back to school means back to structure, routine, and a little bit of a mental break for Moms. The only thing is, we now also have to think about school lunches daily – what to pack, how to balance, what the kids are actually going to like and finish, and the kind of snacks that are approved by the school as acceptable. We learned the hard way back in kindergarten that candy is an absolute no-no at most schools, even if it is just once as a special treat.

My girls have been packing their own lunches for a couple of years now, always with a quick check from Mom, of course, to make sure they have a balanced lunch. The first thing they usually jump to is one of their favorites, of course – Welch’s Fruit Snacks. They are fun to eat and the kids think they’re delicious, so they are always on our list of lunch items to have in the house.

Let me tell you why they’re also one of my favorites for the girls. Unlike other fruit snacks, that ignore actual fruit, Welch’s Fruit Snacks first ingredient is fruit. The brand has been listening to what parents want for the snacks their kids love, so they are made with real fruit, taste really good, and are conveniently packed for an on-the-go snack. I actually eat them sometimes too! They are not only easy to throw in the lunch kit, but I often put a couple in my own bag for travel snacks for all three of my girls. We are usually on the go, so purse-snacks are a real thing in our household.

You can find different varieties and flavors of Welch’s Fruit Snacks at your local Walmart, even more convenient for busy moms. Back to school is always hectic, but at least one thing is knocked off the list with knowing what your kids will like in their lunches.
