Calling all parents! If your child likes any kind of dance, you’re going to want to check out Dance Discovery in South Edmonton. Both year-round and short-term sessions are available and there are options to cater to every commitment level and every skill level – and take a look at the fun class options!
Location: 4347 Savaryn Drive SW (91 Street and Savaryn Drive; 2 Blocks South of Ellerslie Rd.)
Class options
Short term: Available for kids aged 4 to 9. Classes are 6 weeks long and run from September to June with multiple options for start dates.
- Hip Hop – SO cute for younger kids, really cool for all ages (they even have a holiday hip hop option closer to Christmas!)
- Themed Ballet Classes – learning the fundamentals of classic ballet
- Aloha Acro All Stars – A combo of Acro movies and Jazz grooves
Full year: This option is available for kids aged 3 to 17. It runs from September to June (registrations for full-year classes are taken until the end of September) Options range from beginner to competitive. There is even an option for a class that touches on all styles throughout the term, so kids can really get a sense of what they like. Themes include:
- Ballet
- Hip Hop
- Jazz
- Tap
- Acro
- Baby Ballet for kids as young as 3
Bonus for the parents: Dance Discovery has a class app for each group that gives a weekly update to parents about what is done in class, and includes pictures and videos.
