Cariwest Fest:

Glitzy parade with costumes and dancing down Jasper Ave to island rhythms. This is Canada’s most lively Carribean carnivals, and is so fun to watch! The 3 day festival brings the tropics to Edmonton – there is also the “taste of the Carribean” which includes Jerk Chicken and Doubles, and much more!

Edmonton Folk Music Festival:

Don’t forget to visit the bottom of the hill where the fantastic Kids’ Zone is set up! There are tons of kids activities including crafts, face painting, splash park etc. Kids 11 and under get in free with their adult. Edmonton Folk Music Festival exercises a very family friendly re-entry policy, meaning even if kids can’t last the whole day, adults can come back later without hassle.

Truck Stop: The Great Journey:

a FREE outdoor show for audiences of all ages! On Sunday, August 12, 2018, catch Truck Stop: The Great Journey performed in Kinsmen Park by Quebec circus company Machine de Cirque.

Edmonton’s Firefly Theatre & Circus is presenting the show. The 50-minute outdoor performance is suitable for all ages. Seating is general admission – bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chair.
