Edmonton’s Annual Deep Freeze Festival is Back for 2022

The annual Deep Freeze Festival is back in Edmonton right now, for 10 full days! The event is all about celebrating our cold Winter weather, but it couldn’t be a nicer January forecast for some outdoor fun. You’ll find activities and live performances at several locations throughout the event. Entry is free! *Donations are accepted*

When: January 14 to January 23, 2022 – activity times vary from 9 am to 10 pm

Learn about the folklore of the Ukrainian, Francophone, Indigenous, Inuit and Métis cultures through art installations. Check out:

  • Giant lantern & ice sculptures
  • Deep freezer races

  • Winter forest of roving art
  • Roving family of troll entertainment!
