Eat at Huckleberry’s Cafe
The food at Huckleberry’s Cafe in Wetaskiwin is DELICIOUS! If you are only stopping in at one place to eat, make it here! Super cute Alberta country theme, family friendly with a fantastic variety menu. Everything is so fresh and the service was outstanding, especially toward the kids. And the food? Oh em gee. I am still dreaming about the sandwiches (you need to try this unique grill cheese!) and guys. The fresh buns they bring before your meal – just wow. Come hungry.
Visit the Reynold’s-Alberta Museum
This museum was super cool with an entire vintage section complete with a mock drive-in you can actually take a seat in, classic cars and a stroll down an entire block-size classic neighbourhood that includes a little play house for the kids. Police cars and old-style emergency vehicles are interactive for kids to push the buttons to make them light up and make noise. In the back corner there is a mock grain elevator with timed demonstrations by the staff to show kids (and adults) how they work from the inside – something every Albertan should know 😉
Follow Edmonton Mama on Instagram to see our adventures in Wetaskiwin with the kids for the day (so much fun!)
Even more things to check out in the area:

Hiking: so many trails to explore around here – try out the 3km long Chickadee trail & look for some super cool bird houses
