On opening night, we brought the kids to see Cirque du Soleil’s KURIOS and it was incredible. Even more incredible, was watching the performance through their eyes, from the time they were on the edge of their seats during a literal balancing act, or having them commentate that ‘they could probably try that on their bike at home with the climber’ (Please, child, don’t).
Innovation and Invention were two themes of the show, and the costumes were some of the most incredible that we’ve seen. From a person emerging from another person’s costume, to an incredible display of kind of a twenties vibe, mechanical and machinery, our kids asked more than once for us to create for them, the incredible hoop metal skirt design.
Sorry kids, you can’t buy that one in the souvenir shop in the lobby.Â
In town under the big top until August 13th, it’s worth adding to your summer bucket list – as tickets are as low as $49 for the show. If you’ve already purchased tickets, you’re going to want to check out our tips for bringing along your kids to a Cirque du Soleil show.Â
We want one family to have the experience of seeing the show under the big top at Northlands, so we’ve teamed up with Cirque du Soleil for a contest. One lucky family will win four tickets to the performance on either August 1st or August 2nd, 2017, enter for your chance to win, below.
