Tips for bringing the kids:
- Bring water bottles – hydrating is very important when you are walking around all day – especially when it’s hot
- Wear comfortable, closed toe shoes
- Younger kids that don’t meet the height requirement to go on rides on their own can sometimes ride anyway if a parent or older sibling accompanies them on 🙂 – each ride has signs to let you know the options before waiting in line
- Strollers (and better yet – wagons!) are amazing to have not only to push around the kids, but to hold jackets, prizes from games, purchases and more
- Bring snacks! Picnics are welcome at Calaway and there are several designated places on site with picnic benches for just that!
- Check the size chart at the front entrance or take a look at it here to find out which rides your kiddos can go on – they are all height dependant
- Sweaters/jackets – the weather cools down toward the end of the day. Keep them in your car to save on locker rentals or having to carry them around
- Game play attendants only accept cash (as does Dippin Dots) – ATMs are on site but they charge fees for use – best to bring cash just in case you need it
- Download the Calaway Park map to plan out your visit, find the washrooms and get to know where everything is! Find it here.
