Guided tours of the Alberta Legislature in downtown Edmonton are officially back!
Where: Edmonton Legislature Building – 10800-97 Avenue, Edmonton
When: Guided tours need to be booked/registered for in advance. Tours run from Wednesday to Sunday (and holiday Mondays) between 11 am and 4 pm.
What to Expect:
- Learn about how our MLAs debate and make/change laws for our province, right here in this building
- Ask the guide questions as she takes you through the history of important people who have shaped Alberta’s history while working out of the Legislature
- Check. Out. The. Marble. This building has over 2000 tonnes of gorgeous imported, custom marble throughout the interior that has been perfectly preserved over the years
- The top floor has a particular spot where the noise from the fountain has a special effect! Ask your guide about it 😉
- Tours are guided and last about 45 minutes – ask anything you’d like
- Tours need to be booked ahead of time and it is important you show up on time (or a little early) for your time slot, as the tours start at specific times
