BEST Pumpkin Patch for Pumpkin Picking – Save This One!

I can’t believe we’re already talking about pumpkin picking in July! If you guys haven’t heard of Somerset Farms, you’re missing out! We visited last September and it was such a fun experience for our family. I always see people looking for places to pick pumpkins in the fall. I wanted to share this information ahead of time as some people don’t realize the pumpkin picking season is very short and happens well in advance of Halloween. I don’t want anyone to miss out!

When:

Pumpkin picking opens at the start of September 2024

What:

Choose from nearly 50 different variety of pumpkins, both big and small with a wide range of colors, textures and shapes! Prices for pumpkin picking is determined by weight.

Cost:

Cost to enter the pumpkin patch is one flat fee per vehicle. In 2023, it was $25 per vehicle. However, that price is deducted from the total price of your pumpkin purchase!
Prices for pumpkins are as follows:
Mini Pumpkins | 1 for $2.50 or 3 for $6
Small Pumpkins | $3 – $5
Carving Pumpkins | $0.60/lb (max of $15)
Specialty Pumpkins | $1/lb (max of $20)
Squash and Pie Pumpkins | $1.60/lb

Good to Know:

– Dress for the weather and ensure to wear appropriate footwear
– There are wagons on site to use, however, there are a limited number so if you have a wagon of your own, it’s recommended to bring it with you
– The pumpkin patch is pet friendly (dogs must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after)
– There is no concession on site, so you’ll want to bring food and snacks for your family
– Even though you’ve picked pumpkins in at the beginning of September, with the proper care, they can definitely last until Halloween!
