Bring the Kids: Diagon Alley Comes to Calgary for One Day Only

Get out your robes and spend the day in Kensington as it’s transformed into Diagon Alley, straight out of Harry Potter. On July 30th, local shops and restaurants will be serving up Harry Potter themed treats, sweets and drinks, activities.

Admission to the day out is free, but you’re going to want to bring along a bit of extra pocket cash for a butterbeer or two. Bring a costume, dress up – because everything is more fun when you do.

This year will be bigger, better and more magical. On Sunday, July 30th from 10 AM – 5PM, the Kensington community will be transformed into a wizarding world full of brilliant oddities. There will be a Quidditch match taking place in the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association park. Enjoy watching the match and browsing the team’s official Quidditch merchandise. Participate in the costume contest presented by the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo, drink butter beer on the patio, rock out near the music stage and more.
